Anti gastric ulcer
Piperine can damage gastric mucosa, reduce gastric secretion and reduce the comet of pepsin, which indicates that piperine has anti gastric ulcer effect.
Piperine can significantly reduce total cholesterol in serum, and decrease serum triglyceride level.
Piperine has a good antidepressant effect, and its effect is achieved by increasing the level of 5- serotonin in the central nervous system.
Its antioxidant capacity was equivalent to 60.05% of vitamin C, and the ability to scavenge free radicals increased with the increase of its concentration, but when the mass concentration of piperine reached 4g/L, its inhibition rate decreased and tended to be stable. Piperine is stable in acid medium. It is stable after 2H treatment at 60 C, but natural light will cause its absorbance value to decrease.
The inhibition rate of piperine on the proliferation of HpeG2 cells increased with the increase of concentration, and piperine treated cancer cell groups showed typical apoptosis characteristics. It showed that piperine had anti tumor activity of inhibiting the proliferation and inducing apoptosis of HpeG2 cells. It was of potential value for the treatment of liver cancer.
